About
OCHC
With our mission to Serve Community, Witness Christ, and Love in Action, Orange County Herald Center (OCHC) is committed to serving the Chinese community in Orange County (OC) through offering a wide array of community services including cancer education, patient care, youth leadership training, mental wellness education, immigrant assistance, and resources navigation and counseling.
Since its establishment in 2014, OCHC has hosted hundreds of educational focused events and programs on health, cancer prevention, youth leadership, and citizenship. Both in-person and online, OCHC has helped Chinese community members in OC increase their awareness and improve their attitudes towards cancer screening, breast health, mental wellness, community care, and good citizenship. In addition, OCHC also provides on-site services for language assistance, Cover CA enrollment, immigration application, social service navigation and more.
OCHC’s compassionate and impactful programs and services have been so well-received by the Chinese community in OC that many clients become volunteers and donors to support OCHC’s mission. As a result, OCHC’s workforce, fiscal, and service capacity has grown 10 times since its inception.
