About Orange County Herald Center

Our Mission

With our mission, “Care for the Vulnerable, Serve the Community, and Witness Christ”, and our core elements of service: Care, Serve, Educate, and Empower, Orange County Herald Center (OCHC) has provided holistic care for 10,000+ Chinese immigrants in Orange County since 2014. Our calling is to cultivate kindness, foster compassion, build peace, and promote good citizenship.

We are committed to serving our community through various services, including cancer care, seminars, patient support groups, parent support groups, youth leadership training, mental health education, language assistance, counseling, and resource navigation. Our heart is to bridge the gap between immigrants and the broader community, and between the privileged and the underprivileged.

We have trained 500+ volunteers for cancer care, youth development, health education, and community service projects; empowered them to uplift underserved populations; and collaborated with 100+ community partners. With our faith at the core of all that we do, we remain committed to engaging, equipping, and empowering the Chinese community and beyond.

Our Services

Currently, our ministry departments include:

  • Community Care & Service (CCS)
  • Cancer Care Ministry (CCM)
    Holistic Youth Education (HYE)
  • Community Equity Projects (CEQP)
  • Love for Taiwan Mission (LFTM)
  • Counseling services operating independently by Herald Family Center

Our operation is sustained by ministry income, grants, and donations. Expenditures are closely monitored and reported according to guidelines set by the Chinese Christian Herald Crusades headquarters in New York, which conducts annual audits to ensure adequate fiscal control.

The Commitment

We are confident that our quality services and programs will continue to generate more revenue, funding and sponsorships to sustain our organization. We will continue to engage, educate, encourage, equip, and empower the Chinese community in Orange County, strengthen our partnerships with other community-based organizations, and collectively build a stronger, more united Orange County community.

Thank you Lord for your Guidance and Provisions

Caring, equipping, educating, and serving is the core of our ministry. Through navigating community resources, connecting with partner organizations, hosting community events, and training volunteers, we continue to extend our services. We commit our ministry, our projects, and our clients into God’s hands for we believe that “through His mighty power at work within us”, He is able to “accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” He will show us how to build a healthy and harmonious community in Orange County.
