Job Title: Health Equity Program Coordinator

Compensation: $20-23 per hour

Weekly Hours: Full/Part time (30% remote)

Job Summary
The Health Equity Program (HEP) Coordinator will plan and coordinate programs and services related to an array of community health equity building projects in areas of mental health, cancer care, and other social determinants of health that improve the well-being of the OC Chinese immigrant community. OCHC’s HEP includes training, workshop, class, conference, and resource navigation that increase knowledge of mental health, reduce stigma, and elevate well-being of individual, family, and community at large, as well as advocacy for resources and policies that support such endeavor. The HEP Coordinator’s role also includes community
liaising, partnership building and program planning and development.

Specific Duties

  • Participate in program planning, curriculum design, and implementation
  • Coordinate program related activities that promote and improve individual well-being and community health equity
  • Recruit, supervise, and train interns and volunteers
  • Attend internal and external meetings, training, and prepare grant report
  • Participate in organizational strategic planning and contribute to OCHC sustainability

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Education, Social work, Psychology, Public Health or other social science fields
  • 2+ years of work experience in related fields, and 3+ years of community service experience
  • Passionate to serve with God’s love and uphold Christian core values
  • Experienced in working with community based organizations, researchers, and social agencies
  • Familiar with social media outreach and coordination of promotional campaigns
  • Organized, detail oriented with good time management and strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude with the ability to motivate a team of interns and volunteers
  • Computer literate, proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point, and an effective communicator
  • Experienced with Dropbox and Google Drive, and media editing program
  • Understanding of Chinese immigrant culture and able to converse in Mandarin a plus
  • Able to commit to attending occasional events & meetings on Saturday (6-8 times/year)
